About Microdermabrasion Treatment

Microdermabrasion is a popular cosmetic procedure in the Greater Toronto Area.  With microdermabrasion, the outer layer that has been exposed to and damaged by the elements is gradually removed.

After several sessions, that layer is gone and some of the imperfections that exist on it (such as fine lines, shallow acne scars, etc.) improve.

Microdermabrasion: DiamondTome

The DiamondTome wand is the original crystal-free microdermabrasion device. With natural diamond chips embedded in the tip, this wand glides over your skin to clear away dirt, debris and dead skin cells, revealing a smoother and clearer complexion.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is an anti-aging procedure which stimulates the body’s own natural collagen production processes. This procedure both facilitates and stimulates the skin’s natural repair and growth processes without causing any scarring or permanent damage to the skin and notably improves skin tone and texture.

Microneedling: How it works?

Microneedling utilizes and enhances the body’s own natural response to healing to improve acne scars and aging skin.

While no treatment can eliminate scars completely, Microneedling, with the eDermastamp by Dermaroller, in combination with Airgent™/Enerjet, Fractora™, CO2, Fraxel® or Trifractional can significantly improve the scars.

The procedure consists of multiple sessions depending on the condition of the skin, scars or skin damage as well as the size of the area being treated.

Microneedling Treatment: eDermastamp by Dermaroller

Ranging from a recommended course of 1 to 3 treatments for skin rejuvenation, or up to 6 treatments for deep pitted scars, most treatments take less than 45 minutes and are done 2-6 weeks apart.

The microneedling procedure consists of in-clinic sessions, as well as a home care treatment with professional skin care products.

The eDermastamp by Dermaroller is Health Canada-approved. While microneedling treatments are very safe when performed in a doctor’s office, some devices are available online that can contribute to the risk of infection or other skin problems.

It is important to understand that the eDermastamp is the original microneedling device and exceeds quality control and safety standards, thus making it the first Health Canada-approved microneedling device.
